Malaysian exhibition will be held at Tatmadaw Convention Hall in Myanmar's Yangon next month aimed at promoting bilateral trade between the two countries, exhibition sources said Saturday.
Organized by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, the exhibition is scheduled to take place from Sept. 5 to 8.
Displayed items from over 60 Malaysian companies will include construction materials, electronic and technological items, machinery, personal goods, food and clothing, handicraft and jewelry.
Meanwhile, last year's exhibition resulted in total sales of 68. 71 million U.S. dollars from 900 business meetings arranged between Malaysian and Myanmar companies and received 4155 merchants.
According to official statistics, bilateral trade between Myanmar and Malaysia stood at 131.35 million U.S. dollars as of March 2013.
Of the total, Myanmar's export to Malaysia amounted to 29.28 million dollars while its import from Malaysia represented 102.07 million dollars.
